Privacy Policy
HempHQ ("HempHQ," "we," "us") operates the industrial hemp marketplace website at www.hemphq.com. This policy describes how information is handled when you visit the site or submit a supplier application or buyer sourcing request.
Information we collect
- Information you provide: business name, contact name, email address, state or region, category, business website (if supplied), sourcing quantity (if supplied), and the descriptions or questions you enter.
- Operational information: our hosting provider may process IP addresses, browser and request information, timestamps, and security or error logs to deliver and protect the website.
- Session information: a necessary session cookie may be used for form security and submission-rate limiting. See our Cookie Policy.
Please do not submit financial account information, government identification numbers, health information, confidential pricing, or other sensitive information in inquiry fields.
How we use information
- Review and respond to supplier applications and buyer sourcing requests.
- Evaluate possible supplier listings and facilitate business introductions.
- Maintain site functionality, protect against abuse, troubleshoot errors, and keep operational records.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations and respond to legitimate requests.
How information is shared
We may share relevant buyer inquiry details with potential suppliers to help facilitate introductions, as described next to the buyer form. Supplier information may be used to evaluate potential listings; we do not automatically publish a supplier listing from a submitted application. Hosting and email providers process information to provide infrastructure and notifications. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the website and its users.
We do not currently use submitted inquiry contact details for third-party advertising, and we do not sell them. If these practices change, this policy and any required privacy controls must be updated before those changes are enabled.
Storage and retention
Submitted inquiries are stored in a private server-side file outside the public website directory, and notification emails may be delivered to our business inbox. We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to review and respond to inquiries, maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. We are establishing a formal retention schedule and will update this notice when it is adopted. You may request deletion as described below, subject to applicable exceptions.
Your choices and requests
You may contact info@hemphq.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you submitted, or to ask how your information is used. Please identify the inquiry or email address involved; we may need to verify your identity before disclosing or changing information. We will respond as required by applicable law.
California privacy
California residents may have additional privacy rights under applicable law. The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended, applies to businesses meeting specified legal thresholds and other criteria. We will provide any additional disclosures and rights mechanisms required if those rules apply to our operations. We do not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Contact us using the address above with California privacy questions.
Cookies, analytics, and tracking signals
The website uses a session for form security. In the reviewed site files, no Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or cross-site behavioral advertising scripts are installed. Hosting providers may still process technical request logs. We do not use a visitor tracking system that follows people across unrelated websites. We do not currently use browser Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals to change advertising behavior because the reviewed site does not conduct such sale or cross-context advertising sharing. If tracking practices change, we will review applicable signal requirements and update this notice. See our Cookie Policy.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including private server-side submission storage and encrypted website and email connections where supported. No online system can guarantee absolute security.
Children
HempHQ is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 13. Please do not submit a child's personal information.
Other sites
Links to third-party websites are governed by those websites' own policies.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as our services and legal requirements change. We will post a revised date on this page. For privacy questions or requests, email info@hemphq.com.
